The Open Range Record was created to bring you the news the way it was always supposed to be.
There's a reason why newspapers used to have an legitimate opinion page. Part of it was to convince you that the items on the "news" pages were actually news. The other reason was to allow the paper's editors to pontificate and that you'll read it.
Obviously, there's no way to keep bias out of any news article. As people we are inherently biased. The trick is do your best to make your writing as unbiased as possible.
All you have to do is look at any piece on any other "news" site to see that they are entirely biased in favor of liberal establishment politicians.
Nearly every article is a blatantly biased against the Wyoming Freedom Caucus. In one recent example--a segment on the Cowboy State Daily Morning Show--there was a solid 20 minutes where the host and the guest were flagrantly insulting members of the Freedom Caucus.
It's no wonder why readers don't trust what they are reading.
The goal of the Open Range Record is to publish original factual content with verified sources. Of course we will publish opinion pieces, but those will appear on the opinion pages.
