Dear Editor:

Things are not always what they seem, for example a Facebook page called Common Sense Republicans is run by a Democrat. Of course, she doesn’t tell you that. Her name is Emily Madden. She had pictures on her Facebook page, before they were hidden, of her and a friend in Washington D.C. left holding tickets for Hillary’s inauguration.

There was a picture celebrating Biden and Kamala’s acceptance and a picture of her and another woman wearing masks and proclaiming that “masks r cool. wear them in all homes that aren’t yours.” How “common sense” is it for a Democrat to have a page pretending to be a Republican?

Another example is a Letter to the Editor on August 4th that touted the Facebook page called Park County Neighbors (PCN). It has been abandoned and is in the process of being deleted due to the creation of the PCN PAC. On page 2 of the Powell Tribune there was a list of candidates endorsed by the PCN PAC. Except for a couple people, I saw many listed who aren’t Republicans and who vote with the Democrats.

We have a problem in Wyoming of Democrats who pretend to be Republicans. They run as Republicans, get elected, and then vote predominately as Democrats. I’ve even heard them claim to be conservative at debates or forums, but conservatives don’t violate the Republican platform and vote predominately with Democrats.

Something else that is not as it seems is what you may be hearing regarding the Freedom Caucus. There is a concerted effort to malign them and anyone who would vote at any time and in any place similar to them. We’ve watched the media and Democrats for the last 10 years malign President Trump and twist everything he says or does to its worst possible light while it’s taken out of context. It is the same with the Freedom Caucus. They are people with true Wyomingite, Republican values, who follow the Republican platform and who have only had a slight majority for the last year and a half. They are trying to fix the things the Establishment and Rinos in WY have broken.

They stand for lower property taxes; parental rights (Requiring schools to keep parents in the loop about their children and codifying actions to empower parents when their rights are violated); protecting children from gender affirming care and puberty blocking, sterilizing chemicals, keeping boys out of girls’ bathrooms and sports; curating obscene pornographic materials from children’s sections in libraries; school choice; cutting wasteful spending; limiting the growth of government; judicial transparency; maximizing fossil fuel production; holding alternative energy to a level playing field of regulation, taxation, and environmental responsibility; land use planning that protects water rights, includes an equal application of regulatory law, balances energy development with environmental protections while protecting individual property rights of Wyoming citizens; and fighting for the rights of unborn babies among other things.

So, the next time you read or hear something, remember that all may not be as it seems. Read the Republican party platform. Look at the July 8th and 25th posts on the Park County Republicans’ Facebook page to see who they endorsed. See if they turned in their platform survey. Those who didn’t either don’t agree with it or for some reason won’t agree to the rules of the team they are playing for. The ones underlined on the July 8th post are the ones the Park County precinct committee men and women endorsed as Park County people who follow the GOP platform."
