The Open Range Record is hosting debates for the 2026 gubernatorial and U.S. House candidates to be held July 16 at the Rialto Theater in Casper, WY.
An historic Casper venue, the Rialto provides an intimate and up-close and personal viewing experience where the audience will be able to feel as though they are part of the event.
The event will feature separate debates between candidates for the office of Wyoming Governor and one for those vying for Wyoming’s lone seat in the United States House of Representatives. Each will be scheduled for one hour.
Light hors d’oeuvres will be provided and a cash bar will be available.
The Open Range Record Co-Owner David Iverson said, “Though political debates have a long and storied history in our country, they have been abandoned in favor of something called “public forums.” Voters don’t learn anything from that. How can we expect that our elected officials will advocate on our behalf if we don’t know if they can even defend their own beliefs? We can’t. Debates are essential to the continuation of our Republic.”
