Exie R. Brown Jr., Republican, long-time Cheyenne resident, retired U.S. Air Force and Wyoming Air National Guard Veteran, and small business owner announces his candidacy for Wyoming House District 9.
Exie is ready to go to work for House District 9. He’s a principled conservative who puts the people of Laramie County above special interest groups. For Exie, the U.S. and Wyoming Constitutions are the only blueprints that matter.
In 2024, Exie ran for this seat and narrowly lost by 17 votes to the long time incumbent.
“Since 2024, I’ve worked hard to stay connected to the issues that keep our residents up at night,” said Exie. “Whether it be providing public comments at legislative and city council meetings or attending the Wyoming legislative session, I know exactly what our officials are—and aren't—doing for this community.”
Exie retired from the U.S. Air Force after 22 years of service at the highest enlisted rank of Chief Master Sergeant. Since that time, he has run two thriving small businesses in Cheyenne.
“My perspective on leadership is rooted in 22 years of military service, 18 years as a small business owner, and my role as a husband and father,” Exie stated. “I understand the priorities of Wyoming families because I live them. Our elected officials must return to prioritizing the voices of their constituents over the special interest groups who donate to their campaigns.”
