From the moment official investigations conclusively determined that absolutely nothing illegal or unethical had occurred on February 9, 2026, when Rebecca Bextel passed out a few campaign donation checks in the Wyoming Legislative Chamber, every effort to continue the mantra revealed itself as deliberate manipulation of public opinion.
Despite Bextel being thoroughly investigated, exonerated, and declared beyond any suspicion, leftists and RINOs coined the phrase "Check Gate" to artificially create a narrative of wrongdoing, which they have since been relentlessly reciting like mindless parakeets.
In so doing, they establish nothing problematic regarding Bextel, but instead spotlight their abject contempt for the Good People of Wyoming! Clearly, even in the total absence of any evidence, RINOs and Democrats assume they can manipulate that gullible common "rabble" into believing something horribly wrong had occurred.
By such duplicity, the Wyoming RINO/Democrat axis proves that its real intent has nothing to do with cleaning up Wyoming politics, or stopping actual bribes, since that is clearly not what occurred last February. Furthermore, it is an impossibility to "bribe" a public officeholder to do what he/she has already steadfastly promised to do once elected!
The actual, malignant effort of the leftists and RINOs is twofold:
- Politically attack and destroy an opponent with baseless accusations of a contrived scandal, though the targeted individual is otherwise on the right side of the issues in the eyes of the public.
- Intimidate other honest citizens from exercising their right to donate to worthy candidates, so that the only money being fed into the system to buy influence is on the side of those making the false accusations (AKA Democrats and RINOs).
Throughout all of this drama, the only genuinely corrupt action transpired when the Democrat accuser(s) colluded with the LSO behind closed doors to strategize how to make the most political hay out of a total non-issue.
Not surprisingly, the video record of that very suspicious exchange "magically" disappeared," in a manner disturbingly reminiscent of Jeffrey Esptein's "suicide" when all the video cameras simultaneously "failed," or Hillary Clinton's illegal server with its mysteriously "wiped" hard drive.
And it is worth remembering that Democrats do not have a monopoly on such lurid episodes. There are also RINO Liz Cheney's destroyed J6 videos and other evidence proving her own criminality as she collaborated with the likes of Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi on the infamous J6 witch hunt "committee."
While it is abhorrent that such things might happen in the D.C. Swamp/Sewer, it is so much more reprehensible that the same weaponizing of the "law" for political purposes is going on in the Great State of Wyoming. With its overwhelming "Republican" dominance of state politics, one might expect the political process to be more open and above board. But given the past nature and operation of the formerly entrenched GOP "Establishment," corrupt and cagey actions are sadly not all that surprising.
Meanwhile, back in Cheyenne, another underhanded effort to reinforce the narrative is taking place. For those who think the outrages of Jack Smith and Alvin Bragg against President Trump are limited to Blue State Swamps like the Southern District of New York, consider the actions of Laramie County Sheriff Brian Koziak, who is likewise seizing on the check non-scandal to engage in further "investigations."
Not surprisingly, it serves as an excuse for more political and media spotlight being brought to bear on something that has already been proven multiple times to be a total non-issue, with absolutely no legal or ethical violations.
Of course, Koziak claims his "investigation" is not politically motivated. And despite his flippant "nothing to see here" response, it is extremely unlikely that he is acting alone or has no nefarious motivation for dragging things out... again! It needs to be added that, as an "active criminal investigation" of essentially nothing, the principals conducting this political theater are immune to having to answer any questions. How convenient!
Yeah. It's all about upholding the Constitution and the Rule of Law... taken right from the Cheney/Pelosi playbook! And it also makes for great posts from Koziak on Facebook! While the absurdity of all of this might tempt one to merely laugh it off, such actions are themselves ominous excesses of power that threaten to trample basic rights in a free society.
As such, they pose an existential threat to every honest Wyoming citizen who might dare to confront the thoroughly corrupted system.
Of course Wyoming Fake News will give as much cover as possible to this scam from the leftist/RINO vantage point, and seek to perpetuate the blatantly false narrative, with every bit the zeal and deceit of national Fake News as it endeavored to destroy President Trump, and for much the same reason!
Once again, all of this reflects both a total lack of ability to substantively campaign against the worthwhile agenda of the real Conservatives/Patriots who are significantly gaining political clout in Wyoming, as well as a contemptuous belief that the shopkeeper on Main Street is basically stupid and easily swayed with incessantly repeated lies.
Those are the real indicators of how the political "Establishment" (Better known as "The Swamp") intend to shut down a Conservative agenda of reining in governmental bloat, restoring government authority to legitimate public interests, and reversing the despicable trend of the increasing burden it places on the shoulders of those who do the work to produce goods and provide for their families. Real relief from the smothering encroachment of government is what the Good People of Wyoming need! Yet it is the "threat" of curtailment of the statist monster, and limitations placed on its power that the formerly entrenched political class thoroughly detests. Remember that, and what is really at stake, every time you hear one of them sanctimoniously toss out the phrase "Check Gate."
