Zeta Nuckolls Anderson has declared her intent to run for Wyoming House District #1, a seat currently held by Representative Chip Neiman, who announced on Wednesday, March 11 that he will run for the State Senate.
A lifelong resident of Crook County, Zeta grew up at the base of the Missouri Buttes on her family's sheep and cattle ranch, homesteaded by her grandfather in 1917. "My family has lived here for generations. Like them, Gary and I chose to raise our daughters here too."
When asked why now, Zeta's answer was focused on the positive future Wyoming faces and the skills she possesses to ensure the state grows smartly into the future. Anderson said, "The pieces are all here, we need to focus on supporting agriculture as well as the smart development of our natural resources like coal, gas, oil, and rare earth elements."
Anderson added, "By rolling up our sleeves and working together we can ensure future generations enjoy the Wyoming we all know and love!"
She says her participation in programs and training, long term community involvement, and volunteering on local, regional, and state boards brings a unique perspective about the needs of the communities and the state.
"I've had the opportunity to meet and work with many people in the area and around the state. Developing relationships is key to being successful in this position."
Looking at the list of her community involvement includes: Crook County Republican Party Vice Chair, 30 year 4-H Leader, Suicide Awareness Trainer, School Choice Advocate, food pantry volunteer, supporter of workforce training, and student scholarship programs.
Lifetime residents of Crook County, and business owners Dale and Sherry Wood, had this to say about the announcement, “We endorse Zeta for House District #1, and appreciate her strong family values and community involvement. Zeta is a strong supporter of the Constitution, and we are confident she’ll make it a priority to uphold.”
