Wyoming Blue Republicans' favorite saying is ‘Wyoming Solutions for Wyoming Problems.’
Wyoming Blue Republicans seem to think we need different solutions in Wyoming for GDP, Inflation, Wages, K-12 Schools, Mining, Agriculture, Taxes, etc. than other states do. ‘Wyoming is different than other states…therefore, we need our own solutions.'
After you read the list below of Wyoming solutions brought to us by Wyoming’s Blue Republicans, is it safe to say that ‘Wyoming Solutions for Wyoming Problems’ has not been very good to the people of Wyoming?
1. Lowest growing GDP of any state in the country from 2019-2025 (.7% per year in Wyoming vs. United States average of 2.4%) - the United States is growing more than 3 times faster than Wyoming.
2. 46% of Wyomingites live in a county with a DECLINING gross domestic product (GDP) (2019-2024) (County level data for 2025 not yet released by BEA) (Wyoming counties with declining GDP: Sublette (-33.4%); Platte (-18.7%); Sweetwater (-17.6%); Natrona (-10.5%); Goshen (-10.1%); Uinta (-6.9%); Campbell (-6.5%); Fremont (-3.0%); Washakie (-.3%))
3. Wyoming real inflation is 8% higher than the United States average (34.3% vs. 26.3%) (2019-2025).
4. Wyoming median household income wages that are 8% below the United States (end of 2024) (2025 data not yet presented by United States Bureau of Labor Statistics).
5. 73% increase in Wyoming RESIDENTIAL property taxes (2019-2024) (prior to Freedom Caucus gaining control of Wyoming House of Representatives).
Wyoming has lower wages...higher inflation…and the largest tax paid by consumers has gone up 73% - that is a recipe for economic disaster.
6. 64% increase in state of Wyoming revenues from fiscal year 2019 - 2025 (how many Wyoming households have seen their annual income increase 64% since the end of 2019?).
7. 50% increase in state of Wyoming cash revenues from fiscal year 2019 - 2025 (how many Wyoming households have seen their personal savings accounts increase 50% since 2019?).
8. Mining industry gross domestic product has decreased 23% since the end of 2018 through end of 2025.
9. Wyoming windmills have increased 96% from 2019 through 2025 (847 ==> 1,659).
10.Agriculture industry (Farming) gross domestic product has decreased 22% since the end of 2018 through end of 2025.
11.39% of Wyoming's K-12 public schools ‘partially meet’ or ‘do not meet’ expectations (2024/2025 school year).
12.‘Government’ is the #1 Industry in Wyoming (larger than Mining, Agriculture or Tourism)…16% of the entire Wyoming economy.
13.‘Government is the #1 Employer in Wyoming (24% of all Wyoming employees work for the federal, state or local government).
14.Of the 9 states in the United States that have no income tax, Wyoming has the 2nd lowest population growth (1.9% increase) of any state (2020-2025.
Alaska has the lowest population growth…but you don’t exactly ‘move’ to Alaska…moving to Alaska is a life style choice…but you can move to Wyoming more easily…
So, with ’no income tax,’ why is no one moving to Wyoming like they are to the other 7 states with no income taxes?
Wyoming Blue Republicans tell us all the time that people want to move to Wyoming because we have no income tax…yet Wyoming ranked #30 in population increase (1.9%) from 2020-2025. WHY?
As a matter of fact, there were 10 high-tax blue states that saw larger population increases than Wyoming from 2020-2025.
